As an actress and an online ESL teacher, my goal is to always have (What I like to call) camera-ready skin. Yes, there is makeup, but I don’t always wear makeup when I’m not on set or recording an audition.
When I do, it’s always a really light amount so… yeah. I want to look as natural as possible. Therefore, my skin needs to look its best. So, let me show you what I use to get glowing and smooth skin.

Here’s How to Get Glowing Skin and Reduce Hyperpigmentation.
Since I have the issue of hyperpigmentation caused by acne, I use Alba Botanica’s Acnedote Deep Pore Wash. I first wet my face and neck and then lather the product between my hands.
I work this in on my face and neck (and sometimes on my chest, even though I don’t get acne there) using the 60-second rule I learned from Ny, aka The Golden Rx. This is one of my favorite products because it contains salicylic acid and willow bark extract. Both are great for reducing acne and excess oil and it’s really gentle on my skin.

Toning:
Next, I use Alba Botanica’s Acnedote Deep Clean Astringent with a cotton pad or with my hand. Don’t forget your neck and chest too. It helps to tone after cleansing because it will cleanse the skin even further. This toner also has willow bark and is oil-free. It leaves my skin feeling clean. This astringent has helped to reduce my dark marks.
Exfoliation:
Then, I use Minimo Glow Skin Brightening Face Scrub with the Minimo Scrubbie that came in the bundle that I ordered here. I use this scrub about 3 to 4 times a week. When I do use it, I leave the scrub on as a mask for about 10 minutes. This scrub is turmeric based, which if you don’t know, can reduce dark spots and even skin tone.

It has turmeric, cinnamon, manuka honey, chamomile, and lemon. It also has no comedogenic oils. Therefore, no clogged pores.
Conditioning.

Moisturizing:
After that, I use the astringent again, but this time I’m only going to pat this into my skin. I’m not going to rub. I do it because this will help my skin to absorb the Minimo’s DÉJÀVU Sea Buckthorn Face Serum. I use one pump and work the serum into my face and neck. This serum stimulates the healing process and balances the skin’s natural oil production.

After the serum, I add moisture by using Minimo’s Honeydew Hydrating Daily Moisturizer. I love this moisturizer. It lives up to its name and it leaves my skin feeling and looking dewy without making me look oily.
Protection:

To help combat hyperpigmentation and premature aging of my skin, I make sure to wear an SPF 30. I have this one by BlackGirl Sunscreen. It’s super moisturizing and it doesn’t leave me looking ashy. You want to wear your sunscreen on top of your moisturizer.

Love On Those Lips:
Lastly, I finish my routine with my favorite organic lip balm by EOS in the flavor of strawberry sorbet.
This concludes my dark skin morning routine for hyperpigmentation.
